Support When You Need It! HomePlace provides on-site 24/7 respite care. If our community is not able to accommodate respite needs, chances are one of the other communities can. At both of our HomePlace sites (Burlington and Oak Harbor), we provide twenty-four hour nursing care for your loved one.
When you choose to place your loved one in respite care, you need to feel good about your choice. Knowing that it is safe and inviting are important characteristics. HomePlace embodies both of those characteristics and more. The communities are designed much like your own home - pleasant interiors and the touches that make a house a home.
Activities include live music, arts and crafts and holiday events are offered to our guests. Participation is not mandatory and quiet reflection is honored. In addition, a respite stay can provide an opportunity to get a feel of HomePlace for long term residency.
For individuals who are well enough to leave the hospital but not quite ready to care for themselves at home, we offer a place for peaceful recovery. HomePlace provides an environment with pleasing interiors that enhance the healing process. It’s hard to know you are in a Alzheimer's care community except for the 24 hour on-site nursing. Activities that are helpful to the healing process will be offered to our guests.
HomePlace offers hospice through Skagit County Hospice. Their caregivers are an experienced, caring and loving group who care about our residents.
