HomePlace follows the Gentlecare® philosophy (developed by Moyra Jones) for Alzheimer’s disease. This concept was chosen because of its overall attention to the residents. Gentlecare places the emphasis on assisting residents while allowing them to maintain as much self-reliance as possible.

The program focuses on frequent interaction between residents and caregivers through music, massage, pets, exercise and a great deal of personal attention. The emphasis is truly on the resident and their individual needs, providing services in an environment that is as comfortable as the residents own home with a staff that is an extension of their own family.
