Dear Linda,
I just wanted to write to thank you again for the Memorial and Celebration of Life ceremony you arranged and held there for mom. It was such an appropriate way to remember mom with her friends here, and I know she would have been pleased not only with the attendance but the substance of the occasion as well. The originality of using the balloons, I think, helped give closure for the residents and allowed some nice tributes to be written by each of us in attendance.
Thanks again for your thoughtfulness in such a stressful time. I know it was good for the residents in attendance to know that they might be remembered in the same way in the future, and it helped my sister and me as we dealt with mom’s passing.
I wish you the best in charting Heatherwood’s future. It was a wonderful home and community for mom in her 11 years there,
and I hope independent nature (with some assistance) of the facility can be maintained for residents going forward. It meant a
great deal to mom to have the level of comfort and security she enjoyed at Heatherwood.
Sincerely,
Bill
