Cherry joined Colonial Village as Administrator in November 2008. She has extensive experience in healthcare and hotel management, including 15 years as employment manager for a major hospital system employing over 2000 people. A graduate of Texas Tech, she earned an MBA from Texas A&M and received licensure as a lay chaplain from St. Luke's Hospital chaplaincy program in Houston.
An active community volunteer, Cherry has lived in Longview since 1978. She is the mother of two grown children, Cashion Godfrey of Longview, and Si Sikes of Washington, D.C., and grandmother of one grandson, Graham Godfrey.
